Eric Reynolds and Julian Everitt the designer began Evolution Yachts with the introduction of the E.19 around 1977, progressing through to the 26 version within about 2 years, with models 30 and 34 planned for the end of 1981. Production increased in association with Fletcher Offshore in Christchurch, Dorset.
Various refinements were introduced over time including hydraulic keels,
fractional rigs and pivoting rudders as just 3 examples.
